Hiking & Camping at Shipishun

Shipishun is a ridge above Booni that rewards those willing to climb with one of the most dramatic panoramas in lower Chitral. The trail winds through terraced farmland, then pine forest, before opening onto bare mountain slopes where ibex tracks mark the scree. Our local guide knows every spring and shortcut. The descent follows a different route through a narrow gorge carved by glacial melt. This is the hike to do on your first full day — it gives you the lay of the land and the scale of these mountains.
